Panasonic Help Desk FAQ's
To adjust ringer volume
  1. Press the soft key under the display that says RING
  2. The phone will play the current ring volume
  3. Use the up and down arrow to adjust the volume Note: pressing the down arrow multiple times will shut the ringer off
To adjust the handset volume Note: you must be using the handset
  1. Press the up and down arrow to adjust the volume
To adjust the Speaker volume Note: you must be using the speaker phone
  1. Press the up and down arrow to adjust the volume
To join an outside call, press the lighted line button of the call in progress.
When you hear the busy tone, press 3 and it becomes a three-way call.
If you barged-in, to leave the call and leave the other two parties talking, just hang up.
If you originally made the call and someone else barged in, you may leave the call by pressing CONF button and hanging up.
If you just hang up, everyone will be disconnected.
  1. Press PROG
  2. Press * * 1234
  3. Press 004
  4. Press Enter
  5. Enter Extension to be changed
  6. Enter new name using the keypad on your telephone
    Example: Pressing the 2 key three times will give you a capital case B
    Pressing the 2 key six times will give you a lower case c
  7. Press Enter
  1. Press PROG
  2. Press *
  3. Press *
  4. Enter password 1234
  5. Enter system program number 000
  6. Press Enter
  7. The Date will be Displayed
  8. Put in the current date
  9. To move the cursor, use the right arrow
  10. If date is correct, press NEXT to change the time
  11. Enter correct time
  12. Press Enter
To check missed calls that came to your extension
  1. Press Menu
  2. Press the left arrow key twice or hit the call log key
  3. Press Enter
  4. Use the up and down arrow to scroll through the calls
  5. If you wish to call someone in the call log while you are viewing their information lift the handset or press speaker phone
If the main greeting picks up
  1. Call the main number or backdoor number
  2. When the main greeting picks up
  3. Press # 6 * then your extension number
  4. If you have a password you will be prompted to enter your password followed by the # sign
If someone answers the phone
  1. Have them transfer you into your mailbox
  2. When your mailbox greeting picks up
  3. Press # 6 * then your extension number
  4. If you have a password you will be prompted to enter your password followed by the # sign
  1. Pick up an outside line
  2. Dial the first party
  3. When the first party answers and the call is established
  4. Press Conf
  5. Pick up another outside line
  6. Dial the second party
  7. When the second party answers and the call is established
  8. Press Conf again
  9. Now all parties are joined together
Note:Repeat steps to add more parties
To forward all calls to another extension
  1. Press Intercom
  2. Press FWD/DND
  3. Press 2
  4. Enter the desired extension number or voicemail pilot
To forward all calls to an outside number
  1. Press Intercom
  2. Press FWD/DND
  3. Press 2
  4. Enter 9 + the telephone number
  5. Press #
Note: this feature will use two outside telephone numbers To cancel forwarding
  1. Press Intercom
  2. Press FWD/DND
  3. Press 0
  4. Press #
Note: if you have a voicemail system you will need to forward you phone to go to your voicemail on a no answer basis. If this is the case replace option 3 with a 4 plus the voicemail pilot number usually 50
  1. Press PROG
  2. Press the key you would like to program
  3. To store a telephone number press 2 to store a one touch extension number press 1
  4. Enter 9 plus the telephone number or enter the extension number
  5. Press Auto/Dial Store
  1. Press the Message Button
  2. The Display will say where the message came from
  3. Press the Soft Key under the display that says clear
Note: there may be multiple entries so you may have to press clear a few times
  1. Press PROG
  2. Press 10
  3. Press Enter
  4. Enter Personal Speed Dial Bin Number (00-09)
  5. Enter 9 + Phone Number
  6. Press Enter
  7. Enter the Name for the Speed Dial using the keypad on your phone Example: Pressing the 2 key 3 times will give you a capital B Pressing the 2 key 6 times will give you a lower case c
  8. Press Enter
  9. Repeat Steps to add more numbers
Enter Programming Mode
  1. Press PROG
  2. Press *
  3. Press *
  4. Press 1234
  5. Display will read SYS PROG NO?>
  6. Enter 001 display will read SYS SPEED DIAL NO?>
  7. using the soft key in the display press ENTER display will read LOCATION NO>
  8. Enter the Location number to enter or modify Note: enter in three digit location number from 000 thru 999 You will either see the number to modify or nothing there indicating a new number to be stored
  9. Enter the 9 and the new telephone number
  10. using the soft key in the display press ENTER
Important:Speed dial number and name locations must match
Supervised Transfer
  1. with the caller on the line
  2. Press the Transfer key
  3. Dial the extension number or press the DSS key of the person whom you wish to transfer to
  4. Stay on the line until the person answers
  5. Once they are ready for the call hang up the phone to complete the transfer
  6. If they choose not to take the call press the line key that is flashing to go back to the call
Unsupervised Transfer
  1. with the caller on the line
  2. Press the Transfer key
  3. Dial the extension number or press the DSS key of the person whom you wish to transfer to
  4. Hang up to complete the transfer
Voicemail Transfer
  1. with the caller on the line
  2. Press the VMTR key
  3. Dial the extension number or press the DSS key of the person whom you wish to transfer to
  4. Hang up the complete the transfer
  5. The caller will then hear that person's personal greeting.
Press HOLD twice.
Call can only be retrieved at your phone by pressing flashing light.
Press and hold the red power key on the phone for 3 seconds.
  1. Press Intercom
  2. Press Voicemail
  3. When the voicemail picks up press #6*999
  4. When prompted for a password, enter your 4 digit password and press #
  5. Press 4 then press 1
  6. Press 1 to assign or edit.
  7. Enter the mailbox number.
  8. Press 2 to accept. Subscriber's Name
  9. Press 1 to change the current setting.
  10. Record the subscriber's name.
  11. Press 2 to accept. Extension Number
  12. Press 1 to change the current setting.
  13. Enter the subscriber's extension number.
  14. Press 2 to accept. First 3 or 4 Letters of the Subscriber's Last Name
  15. Press 1 to change the current setting.
  16. Enter the first 3 or 4 letters of subscriber's last name.
  17. Press 2 to accept. First 3 or 4 Letters of the Subscriber's First Name
  18. Press 1 to change the current setting.
  19. Enter the first 3 or 4 letters of subscriber's first name
  20. Press 2 to accept.
  21. Press *
  22. Hang Up To Exit
Important:Speed dial number and name locations must match
The System Manager should delete mailboxes that are no longer needed. When another person accesses the VPS, the action is automatically canceled.
  1. Press Intercom
  2. Press Voicemail
  3. When the voicemail picks up press #6*999
  4. When prompted for a password, enter your 4 digit password and press #
  5. Press 4
  6. Press 1
  7. Press 2
  8. Enter the mailbox number.
  9. Press 1 to delete the mailbox.
  10. Hang Up to Exit
When a password is forgotten, the System Manager must reset the password before it can be reassigned by the subscriber.
  1. Press Intercom
  2. Press Voicemail
  3. When the voicemail picks up press #6*999
  4. When prompted for a password, enter your 4 digit password and press #
  5. Press 4
  6. Press 1
  7. Press 2
  8. Enter the mailbox number.
  9. Press 1 to delete the mailbox.
  10. Hang Up to Exit
