While many other manufacturers were

digital signal processing (DSP) provides in voice storage and
retrieval, ESI has been using DSP technology since 1992.
DSP technology provides many
operating advantages. A DSP rapidly samples and converts speech and
DTMF tones from analog waves into digital data. Storing this data
electronically not only improves system speed and reliability, but
it also gives users more flexibility while storing, retrieving and
moving voice messages. Because DSP technology requires less discrete
hardware and fewer integrated components, ESI is also able to design
products that are more compact and economical.
